TRACK RECORD

In 1994, Freightways sold the Armourguard brand retaining Security Express as a specialised cash transfer company operating under the Messenger Services division of Freightways.
The selection and recruitment of high calibre, motivated and honest staff is vital to maintaining the high standards of service for which Security Express is renowned.
Messenger Services Limited incorporating Security Express, follows strict recruitment procedures, including the licensing of all staff under the Security Guards and Private Investigators Act.
RESOURCES
Unlike other highly publicised security firms, Security Express Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch retain a lower profile within the marketplace making it less susceptible to risk.
Security Express drivers are contacted by the operations centre every hour to ensure their welfare and that of their consignments.
In the event of an emergency, all vehicles have an emergency button that directly contacts operations centre staff, who follow strict security procedures to ensure a quick and efficient resolution.
All Security Express guards and office staff hold a Department of Justice license in accordance with the Security Guard and Private Investigators Act 1974.
At all times, both guards and staff are required to carry and display a department of courts issued Security Guard ID license as well as a Security Express ID card.
All ID cards are complete with photo identification and security imprinting to insure validation.
METHODOLOGY
As a requirement of all Security Express services in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, a signature must be received from the pickup point by the driver carrying out the service and at the delivery point. This ensures each point receives a copy of the documentation.
Each of the company’s purpose-created, 3-layer dockets require declared amounts of both cash and coin separately from cheque values, numbers from the tamper proof bags or seals and customer information. This provides protection for Security Express customers, ensuring there are no discrepancies between the packing of the contents and its receipt by the receiver.
This audit trail also provides evidence of collection and assists the drivers whom must remain responsible for all insurable cash limits. Security Express retains a copy of the final completed documentation as proof of the services provided.
All movements are recorded within Security Express standard documentation in triplicate, allowing copies of the relevant documentation to be left at all points, and at all stages of the service.
